Meaning: (From TK Govinda Rao’s book)

Let my mind (“manasaa”) and head (“shirasaa”) forever surrender (“namaami me”)  to Lord Shankara - Bestower of auspiciousness - the embodiment (“tanumanisham”) of Naada, the primeval sound.

To Him, the essence ("saaram") of blissful Samaveda, the best of the vedas ("nigamottama"), I bow every time ("vaaram vaaram"). To Him who delights ("lolam") in the art ("vidya") of the seven ("sapta") musical notes ("svara") Sa-Ri-Ga-Ma-Pa-Dha-Ni-; born of His five ("pancha") faces ("vaktra") SADYOJAATA (i.e. Aghora, Tat Purusha, Eeshaana and Vaamadeva), who is the destroyer ("vidhalitha") of Kaala. He is the protector ("paalam") of the flawless ("vimala hrudaya") Tyaagaraaja I offer my repeated prostrations.
